Our theme for the next few months will be “Growing Faith”. There will be 4 courses on offer, as well as the opportunity for home groups to try out some of the courses. Foundations for Faith will start on Sept 30th, and is designed for anyone wanting to think through the basics of Christian faith. It will be run by Revd Jeremy Haswell and (the soon to be Rev) Mark Potter. 90 minutes on Saturday mornings for 6 weeks. More details to follow. Growing in Faith will be for those who want to know how to push on and develop their experience of God. It will be on a Wednesday evening starting on October 4th, 8-9.30pm in the Church Rooms. This course will also be available for home groups to run. Learning to hear God. Much of our prayer is wasted because we don’t know how to hear from God, and so pray according to His will, rather than out of our own desires. This will be a six week course, with options to continue on Monday nights, 7.30-8.25pm, starting on October 16th . Introducing God, person to person. Do you know how to help someone meet God for the first time? Do you know how to test whether someone is deep down I interested in knowing God? Do you know how to trigger someone’s interest in God? Most of us would like our friends and family to know something of God’s presence and blessing, but we get stuck. This 6 week course will get you started again. Monday nights, 8.30-9.30pm, starting on October 16th for 6 weeks. A good course to do in partnership with the one on prayer above. This course will also be available to home groups, through the book “Mission-shaped Grace”.
