Mothers' Union
Mothers' Union is a Christian association which strongly advocates marriage and supports family life.
Although the original name Mothers' Union remains, we now have a membership of men and women, single and married, with and without children. We all share a desire to help others within our own community and further afield.
The branch at St Luke's draws members from Hindhead, Headley, Grayshott, Borden and Beacon Hill (MU @ HGB)
We are involved in many local projects including :
- Coldingley Prison helping inmates to maintain links with family and friends by making and sending greeting cards.
- We run a "Kids Zone" there on Saturdays for visiting families.
- We collect toiletry items for Chase Community hospital and also for local Women's Refuges
- We contribute to the collection of clothing and toys for the deprived Manor Estate in Sheffield
We meet on the second Tuesday evening of each month at 7.30 for 8.00 o'clock in Timothy Room St Luke's Church
